About the Role

CME Group is currently looking for a Brokertec Summer 2026 Intern.

This candidate will assist the Brokertec division on day-to-day activities in support of UST cash and repo trading relationships/platforms. This candidate will assist the BLM Team with day-to-day activities, market research, data analysis, project contributions, meeting attendance, stakeholder communication, and overall customer experience enhancement.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • The primary focus of this placement is assisting the running of BrokerTec Markets (repo central limit order book), the BrokerTec Quote (D2C RFQ platform) and UST (clob and Brokertec Chicago) business lines.
  • Assist the BrokerTec teams on day-to-day activities in functioning of the platforms
  • Assist in market research for strategic initiatives
  • Gather and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external sources
  • Attend meetings with internal stakeholders to understand wider impacts of initiatives
  • Customer focus and ensuring 1st class customer experience
  • Contributing creative ideas to platform and product solutions across the various asset classes



Skills / Software Requirements:

  • Basic Google Apps, spreadsheets, pivot tables. Bloomberg experience a Plus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree
  • Local to New York Summer 2026

Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
