About the Role

Raphael & Associates, a nationwide third-party claims administrator (TPA) and field adjusting company is seeking a Specialty Claims Intern to support our claims team during the Summer of 2026. 

Interns will learn our business while gaining exposure to real projects, develop professional skills, and contribute to initiatives that enhance our national presence.

This position will be located at our Rutherford, New Jersey home-office.


Responsibilities
  • Develop skills in the identification and handling of claim documents.
  • Learn and apply claim file creation and procedures to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Organize claim documents and files in accordance with department guidelines.
  • Reorganize and update vendor database.
  • Assist in the creation of policy form(s) comparative analysis for examiners.
  • Deliver exceptional service on a timely basis.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Other assignments as directed by manager.
Qualifications
  • Students pursuing a bachelor's degree required with a focus on insurance and risk management, business, or related area.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above required
  • MS Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • A passion for customer service and a willingness to learn.
