Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Join us for an exciting summer!  We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Polymers Automation team as a intern.

 

As a Polymers Automation intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the development and deployment of an internal, web-based application designed to support manufacturing operations. This role offers exposure to industrial software systems, user-focused solution design, and cross-functional collaboration within an operations environment.

 

In this role, you will learn and work within the Ignition SCADA platform by Inductive Automation to help define, develop, and deploy an internal application. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and help translate those requirements into functional, practical solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with defining, developing, and deploying an internal web-based application for operations
  • Learn and utilize the Ignition SCADA platform (by Inductive Automation) to support application development
  • Work with internal customers to gather requirements and understand operational needs
  • Support the design and implementation of solutions that improve operational efficiency and usability
  • Assist with testing, refinement, and deployment of the application

 

Internship Goals:

  • Gain foundational knowledge of the Ignition SCADA platform
  • Build practical experience with Python scripting
  • Develop skills in SQL and database management
