Job Description

  • Learn about the company, including the different lines of business
  • Research and draft memos regarding developing legal issues
  • Provide assistance with responding to subpoenas and other court filings
  • Assist in-house paralegals with various tasks as necessary
  • Take part in and take notes on meetings with the internal business and project teams and outside counsel.
  • Review and assess contracts, including for M&A due diligence purposes 
  • Shadow members of the legal department

Qualifications

Internship Details:

  • Full-time
  • Onsite at our office in Bloomfield, New Jersey (SGS corporate headquarters)
  • Salary - $25.00/hour
  • Approximately the beginning of June until August 2026 (10-week minimum commitment)  

Intern Qualifications / Skills:

  • Law student - 1L and 2L
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and pay attention to detail
  • Professionalism
  • Proficiency in Word, Adobe, and Westlaw
  • Must have access to a computer and internet connection in the event remote access is needed.
  • Currently have a valid work authorization which will extend from June to August 2026.
