About the Role

Description

Freeman's is one of the nation's leading fine art auction houses.  With an unyielding focus on client service, Freeman's offers over 100 auctions a year in catagories such as jewelry, fine art, modern design, books and manuscripts, decorative arts, couture, Asian works of art, arts of the American West and more.  We are searching for summer interns to work in our Chicago, Philadelphia and NY offices.  As an intern you will gain first hand experience in the auction industry, with exposure to consignment process, cataloguing items, art handling and live auctions. We offer two types of Summer Internships- one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students. 


Requirements

 We are looking for candidates studying Art History, Fine Art, Modern Design or Furniture and Decorative Arts, to work closely with our Specialists and Cataloguers. Attention to detail, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the arts is required.
