Summary
Varex has a new product line manufacturing x-ray products using liquid metal bearings (LMB’s). The new product manufacturing line is nearing readiness for production standup. A critical engineering deliverable for all new products is life testing to validate expected field life of our products. For products being developed for this new LMB product line Varex needs to develop a CT gantry life test system to fulfill this engineering deliverable. We have obtained a basic CT gantry platform to use for this development and are now needing to create a harmonized programing control interface that includes control for the gantry rotation and the HV generator that controls the LMB X-ray tube. This position will therefore require controls and automation experience and interest for the selected candidate.Job Description
