About the Role

As a Quality Intern, you will support the Quality team in maintaining and improving product quality, manufacturing processes, and compliance with internal standards and external regulations. This is a hands-on internship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for students or recent graduates in engineering or a related field.

 

Internship dates: May 18th - August 14th 

 

Location, Schedule, & Compensation:

In-office/non-remote

Maryville, TN

40 hours per week

Monday-Friday

The job may include but is not limited to the following:

 

First article inspection (assisting Quality Technicians and SQE’s):

  • Assist in preparing FA inspection, and incoming inspection plans.
  • Help set up and run inspections on products or materials for compliance with specifications.
  • Analyze test data and summarize results for review.

Assist in resolving quality issues:

  • Working on the manufacturing floor and assembly
  • Working with warranty
  • Assist with resolving quality issues utilizing FMEAs and RCA

Process and Quality Documentation:

  • Update or create work instructions, control plans, and quality procedures.
  • Support the documentation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Assist in maintaining records for audits and regulatory compliance.

Cross-Function Collaboration:

  • Work with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to improve quality.

Assist calibration of gages using various types of measuring equipment
