About the Role

Job Description

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or another frequency dictated by the business.

The Role
The EV Product Intern will support the Product Marketing Manager and the wider Product and Marketing teams in implementing charging solutions and enhancing EV education across the region. This role is highly cross-functional, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and execute programs targeting both customers and dealers. It is a unique opportunity to learn how integrated go-to-market and marketing strategies are built and executed in the EV space. The intern will also have regular exposure to senior leadership, contributing to data-driven marketing and product initiatives that support GM’s EV ambitions.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and support end-to-end EV charging solutions projects across the region, including planning, execution, timelines, resources, and tracking against key milestones 
  • Drive internal communication and engagement, creating content, workshops, and activities that energize teams around EV topics and initiatives 
  • Gather and analyze data, turning insights into actionable recommendations that inform EV strategies and decision-making 
  • Conduct market research on EV trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to keep the business ahead of the curve 
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with GM’s strategic goals 
  • Support the execution of marketing activities that educate customers and dealers about GM’s EV line-up and charging solutions 
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, trackers, and status presentations to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership 

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program or a recent graduate enrolled in a higher education program 
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to work with data and translate it into clear insights 
  • Good communication abilities and solid project management skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially advanced Excel and other Microsoft applications 
  • Genuine interest in electric vehicles, emerging technologies, and sustainable transportation 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from various departments 

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Studying or holding a degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or Sciences 
  • Prior experience or academic projects related to EVs, sustainability, or technology-driven initiatives 
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, events, or cross-functional activities
