About the Role

Job Overview:

The IT Intern will support the Data team in delivering technology-driven data solutions across the organization. This internship provides exposure to modern workplace technologies, data architecture, data analysis, Python, cloud computing, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, and agile software development practices. The intern will contribute to strategic IT initiatives and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the transformation of data technologies within the modern workplace.

  • Support documentation, data analysis, issue remediation and application modernization efforts.

  • Contribute to the formation and sustainability of data Centers of Excellence.

  • Assist in data analysis, design and development tasks and collaborate with the data team.

  • Engage in technical project delivery and agile delivery practices.

  • Learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies in real-world scenarios.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a University degree in one of the following or related fields:

- Computer Science

- Computer Engineering

- Information Technology

- Software Engineering

- Management Information Systems

- Security and Risk Analysis

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in data analysis, data model design and data processing technologies, including Python, PySpark, APIs, Java

  • Knowledge of different database software and structures

  • Knowledge of AI/ML, software tools, or cloud infrastructure.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current industry standards and trending technologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
