Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Tallmadge, OH 44278Position Type: InternshipMaster’s of Social Work or Master’s of Clinical Counseling Internship Community Based Behavioral Health Internship: Tallmadge, OH National Youth Advocate Program is accepting internship applications for our Behavioral Health team for the Summer, 2026 and Fall, 2026 in our Tallmadge, OH region. Working with the community-based team, you will get hands on experience interacting with youth and families both in the community and in the office You will also have the opportunity to observe other therapeutic areas throughout the agency to gain insight to the communities and clients we serve. This position works closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners. Enrollment in a Master level Social Work or Master’s level Clinical Counseling program required. Applications will be accepted through 2/23/2026   Your Internship Experience may include: Providing appropriate individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served. Traveling as needed, to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements. Completing all required documentation in a timely manner. Completing all required training in a timely manner. Coordinating and monitoring services for the youth and family in the community, for mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services. Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals. Assisting in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangements consistent with the youth’s case plan. Actively participates in the weekly supervision process.   Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution. Enrolled in an accredited institution for a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Master’s in Clinical Counseling An internship or field placement is a requirement by the institution. Upon the completion of the internship, the individual would receive credit toward their pursued degree. LSW, SWT or CT licensure required You must be 21 years of age on the first day of your internship Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.
