With technology proven over years of self-driving deployments, Nuro gives the automakers and mobility platforms a clear path to AVs at commercial scale—empowering a safer, richer, and more connected future.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong><strong><br></strong>The Systems Test Engineering Intern (STE Intern) supports the team responsible for building the structure and processes for the “right side of the V” in Systems Engineering (verification &amp; validation). In this role, you’ll help design, implement, and improve automated test pipelines and the supporting workflows that make testing faster, more reliable, and easier for Systems Engineers to adopt.</p> <p><strong>About the Work&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The STE Intern role involves hands-on technical work to support the design, alignment, and continuous improvement of automated test pipelines and validation workflows:</p> <ul> <li>Support the development of automated test pipelines and tooling, with a focus on ease of adoption and minimal friction for Systems Engineers.</li> <li>Help drive standardization across testing modalities by contributing to consistent triage workflows and shared best practices across workstreams.</li> <li>Help improve early detection of simulation failures during V&amp;V execution by owning the automation work and reporting key performance metrics such as recall and precision.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field</li> <li>Ability to write production-quality code in Python and/or C++ to build automation and tooling</li> <li>Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated regression testing concepts</li> <li>Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows (branching, pull requests, and code reviews)</li> <li>Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams</li> <li>Interest in autonomous vehicles / robotics and safety-oriented validation workflows</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with autonomous driving simulators is beneficial</li> <li>Ability to apply systems engineering concepts of requirements, verification and validation.</li> <li>Experience in ML/Deep Learning</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Note:</strong>&nbsp;This is a summer internship that will require in-office presence of 3-4 days a week in our Mountain View, CA location.&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $11,500 to $14,000/month.
