Position Summary
Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting facility operations in a regulated manufacturing or biopharmaceutical environment. The intern will assist with documentation, data analysis, and improvement projects while working with cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for Engineering students looking to gain real-world industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facility systems and operations.
- Conduct time studies, process mapping, and workflow analyses.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with maintenance and improvement projects for building systems.
- Support ongoing facility upgrades and modifications, including drawing updates and documentation.
- Create and maintain Spare parts inventory in the Regulatory Asset Management system
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for facility issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to execute projects successfully.
Qualifications
- Rising junior or senior undergrad that is currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings and documentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Exposure to manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments is a plus.
- Ability to work in a facility or manufacturing environment
- Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility as needed
- Ability to follow safety requirements and wear PPE when required
