Position Summary

Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.

 

This intern position will support R programming and data visualization initiatives within the Biometrics team. In addition to being mentored by the Head of Statistical Programming, the intern will get an opportunity to work closely with Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers to gain experience in Drug Development, Clinical Trials and how the clinical data are analyzed for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop R programs for Tables, Figures, and Listings (TFLs) to support exploratory analyses and publication-ready outputs.
  • Support the development of interactive data visualizations and dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Translate analytical needs into effective programming solutions by working closely with Biostatisticians, Statistical Programmers and other functions.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Master students majoring in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Strong hands-on experience with R programming language. Familiarity with additional programming languages such as SAS is a plus.
  • Experience in developing interactive data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
