About the Role

About our group:

Our Equipment Development Engineering team designs and develops new tooling and equipment to support machine upgrades and improve manufacturing efficiency. We also take responsibility for transferring advanced machine designs from our U.S. design team to our manufacturing site in Thailand. Our mission is to ensure machines are installed, qualified, and optimized for high-volume production. As part of a global organization, we collaborate with international teams to deliver world-class solutions that enable Seagate’s mission to store and protect the world’s data.

About the role - you will:

· Design tooling to support machine upgrades and assembly processes.

· Create detailed assembly and installation documentation for tooling and equipment.

· Review, verify, and correct mechanical drawings against actual machine components.

· Develop equipment installation setup and qualification processes.

· Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient design and smooth implementation of design changes.#internship

About you:

· Detail-oriented and passionate about mechanical design and tooling development.

· Understanding of mechanical drawings and ability to interpret technical details.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

· Good written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English and the local language.

· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

· Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Your experience includes:

· Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

· Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.

· Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.

· Experience with tooling design or technical documentation.
