About the Role

UPMC Corporate Facilities Engineering and Maintenance is hiring a Summer Intern to join our team.  In this role, you will assist with data collection and asset tagging at our off-site UPMC facilities.  This internship will work Monday through Friday during daylight hours and will require local travel.  The position will pay a standard rate of $20/HR.

We are looking for a current student who is interested in engineering, facilities, or maintenance. Students who are in an IT or Data Management related field are also strongly encouraged to apply!   This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience!  Apply today!

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the actual placement and set up of asset tags in mechanical rooms, office spaces, penthouses, and other locations while using appropriate safety protocols and PPE
  • Keep good records and confirm accuracy of building assets and their tags at various off-site UPMC locations
  • Use various CMMS software to track assets and document changes.
  • Confirm off-site asset locations by both visiting sites and studying blueprints. 


  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a post-secondary education degree (Undergraduate – Master’s) preferred.
    • Preference to students who are currently completing their sophomore year or higher.
    • Preference to students enrolled in an Engineering, Facilities or Maintenance related program, with a strong consideration for students enrolled in an IT or Data Management related program. 

       

       

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
  • Valid Driver's License
