About the Role
The Quality Management Systems Intern will support Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) initiatives by improving quality data visibility, analytics, and supplier documentation processes. This role focuses on standardizing quality metrics, enhancing internal reporting, and supporting scalable approaches to supplier documentation management. The internship provides hands-on experience in quality analytics, system-based reporting, and risk-aware decision support within a manufacturing organization.

This intern will be an active participant in the C.H. Guenther Internship Program cohort, receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities. C.H. Guenther is dedicated to delivering an enriching internship experience that goes beyond hands-on work to support long-term professional growth.

The intern program will run from June 8 to August 14, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the review and enhancement of quality performance metrics and scorecards, including definition of metrics, data sources, and reporting cadence. 

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of automated quality dashboards to improve internal visibility and trend analysis. 

  • Support data validation, testing, and stakeholder feedback to ensure reporting accuracy, usability, and scalability. 

  • Help enhance visual management and trending capabilities to support proactive quality monitoring and prioritization. 

  • Assist with supplier documentation analysis and alignment, supporting consistent requirements and internal standards. 

  • Contribute to the development of standardized, repeatable processes for managing supplier documentation and quality records. 

  • Support documentation of processes, learnings, and recommendations to enable sustainability and knowledge transfer. 

  • Collaborate with FSQA and cross-functional partners to ensure analytics and tools support risk-based quality decision-making. 

 

Minimum Job Requirements: 

 

Education/Certifications and Experience: 

  • Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Prior experience with Quality and Food Safety software management is a plus. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and related software or application. 

  • Proficiency in of SharePoint, SAP, SPC and other applicable Quality and Food Safety software systems preferred. 

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage data accurately, and effective cross-functional communication. 

  • Ability to manage complex projects including software implementations 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to effectively interact with personnel in other departments and maintain positive working relationships. 

  • Ability to think independently, analyze problems, and recommend solutions.  

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 

  • Typical work in an office environment. 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Candidates relocating from a distance of more than 50 miles will be eligible for a housing stipend. 

 

At C.H. Guenther, we value transparency in compensation. By providing the salary range for this role, we aim to promote fairness and help candidates make informed choices about their career. The salary range for this role is:

$17.58 - $27.33

Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
