<p><strong>Pay: </strong> $25/hr</p>

<p><strong>About the Position:</strong></p>
<p>The<em> </em>Engineering Intern<em> </em>adeptly manages multiple engineering efforts on projects in varying stages of planning, design, and construction. This is a full-time summer position that reports directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager in our Madison, WI or Seattle, WA offices. The role works cohesively and collaboratively across companywide functional teams to include development, engineering, accounting, financial planning, and legal. </p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Producing AutoCAD-based designs and drawings with support from Engineering Managers and Associates.</li>
<li>Taking responsible charge for electrical engineering projects and producing construction plan sets to deliver operating solar projects.</li>
<li>Participating in the detailed design for utility scale solar electric and battery energy storage systems, including but not limited to interconnection design in compliance with utility Interconnection Agreements. </li>
<li>Participating in project kickoff meetings and project completion meetings. Help to close the loop with Development and Delivery internal teams by providing continual feedback and support.</li>
<li>Continually sharing knowledge with coworkers and managers to ensure project successes and failures are learned by all within the organization. </li>
<li>Contributing to an amicable working environment with other associates and employees.</li>
<li>Articulating the company history and strategy to our team and partners.</li>
<li>Contributing to our thought leadership role in the energy industry.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Enrolled in a BS or master’s level degree program, majoring in Electrical or Design engineering.</li>
<li>Beginning knowledge of the National Electrical Code, National Electric Safety Code, the International Building Code and other related codes and standards.</li>
<li>Beginning knowledge of AC power distribution and transmission systems.</li>
<li>Proven AutoCAD and other graphical skills.</li>
<li>Willingness to learn ETAP and other electrical design software.</li>
<li>Hands-on construction experience and a practical understanding about the electrical trades.</li>
<li>Excellent professional written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong presentation skills are a must.</li>
<li>Technology savvy with advanced computer skills. A demonstrated ability with MS Office, MS Windows and project tracking software is required.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and the organizational capacity to simultaneously manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.</li>
