Working Student - Legal & Compliance (FinTech Startup)

<p>We co-founded and led <strong>Viafintech (Barzahlen)</strong> to 100+ employees - one of Germany’s most successful fintechs, active in 17 markets across the EU and US, and sold in 2021 to the NYSE-listed <strong>Paysafe Group</strong>.</p> <p>Now we’re building our next venture: <strong>finperks</strong> — a global platform for all prepaid products: <strong>gift cards (Apple, Amazon, Google), airtime, and eCash — all via one simple API.</strong></p> <p>Think of finperks as the <strong>“Stripe for Prepaid.”</strong> We started in summer 2025 and have already onboarded <strong>700+ brands</strong>. The first client goes live by the end of the year.</p> <p>The prepaid market is massive — <strong>€600bn today, growing to €1.8tn by 2028.</strong></p> <p>We’re a team of eight based in <strong>Berlin-Charlottenburg</strong> - a mix of experienced founders and talented new joiners.</p> <p>High ownership, low ego, kind people. We move fast, support each other, and celebrate wins together.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <p>As a <strong>Legal &amp; Compliance Working Student</strong>, you’ll work closely with the founders to support finperks’ legal, regulatory, and contractual foundations as we scale.</p> <p>If you enjoy structured thinking, research, and translating legal complexity into clear processes, this role is for you.</p> <ul> <li>Support legal and regulatory research (e.g. payments, vouchers, consumer protection, GDPR)</li> <li>Assist with drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts (NDAs, client agreements, partner terms)</li> <li>Help document and maintain internal policies and legal processes</li> <li>Support compliance-related workflows and coordination with external legal advisors</li> <li>Assist with legal due diligence for partners, vendors, and new markets</li> <li>Help organize and maintain a structured legal document repository</li> <li>Work directly with the founders on legal topics related to product, partnerships, and operations</li> </ul> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <p>You don’t need extensive work experience!
