About the Role

Description

Assist in conducting various environmental permitting and compliance such as air/water discharge permits and due diligence activities (Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Hazardous Material Surveys (HMS), and building demolition oversight). Assist in the development of civil design site plan drawings and support with permit submittals. Duties will include working on permit applications, reviewing local and state ordinances and design requirements, assisting in preparation of design drawings in Civil 3D, and field work (such as collecting samples) with preparation of daily field reports.  


NOTE: This is a seasonal position for Summer 2026. Applicants must be located within commuting distance of our Northville, MI office. 

Requirements

· Minimum of high school diploma. 

· Must be working on a degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Environmental, or Chemical (or related) discipline.

· Be willing and able to work on construction sites and along freeway right-of-way while performing review activities. (Proper safety training will be provided).

· Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

· Be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrated team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and have strong interpersonal skills. 

· Accuracy, dependability, and time management skills to manage multiple assignments at any given time. 

· Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 45 lbs.

· Must hold a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at various job sites.
