About the Role
The SOC Analyst Intern evaluates and coordinates responses to incidents and emergency situations related to employees and/or company locations. Communicates security related matters to uniformed security personnel and provides continuous real-time actionable support through video analysis, direct communication with SSFCU personnel along with law enforcement, EMS or fire services when the need demands. Maintain a clear understanding of business machines and programs with aptitude for superior knowledge of security protocols and technologies; video management system (VMS), site security configurations, access coding, incident databases, enterprise intrusion/trouble systems, remote programming systems. Possess the verbal and writing skills necessary to assess, document and articulate incidents for review by leadership. Performs video review, retrieval, analytical and investigative functions. Performs link analysis to identify patterns of like behavior, criminal conduct, and suspicious behavior to facilitate information sharing and actionable measures. Monitors, analyzes, and identifies solutions to alarm activations at the 70-plus branch sites, the SFFCU main campus and other properties. Duties also include monitoring special events on SSFCU property, coordinating with security personnel, contracting law enforcement personnel and event management to implement professional security plans. Assists in the coordination of the incident response to remediate security and other spontaneous events when needed. Ability to assess, investigate, document, and report security concerns and emerging security trends. Monitors enterprise access control systems including support for localized users, software configuration, verification of door function, door position switches, and card readers inventory control. Updates and maintain security activity logs and daily operational reports. Document entries for updates and when needed coordinates maintenance on alarms and more. Exhibits a calm sense of urgency during problem analysis. Follows up to ensure satisfactory resolution with internal stakeholders. Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our purpose, and abide by our organization's values.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in General Business, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work flexible schedules, remain calm in fast-paced environments, lift up to 25 lbs., and perform local travel if required.
