JOB PURPOSE:  

This internship is designed to improve the candidate’s sales skills through supporting prospecting and new business activities within the Sales Team. The Sales Intern will interact with the entire Sales Team and internal team members Projects and tasks will vary based on capacity with the core responsibilities focused on supporting prospecting efforts through research, managing prospect and pipeline information, reporting, and events. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • The Sales Intern will learn to utilize Salesforce CRM, Zoom Info, Zywave, LinkedIn, and other tools to support prospecting efforts for the Sales Team. 
  • Prospect Research: For existing prospects, update Salesforce with key personnel, contact information, and important qualifying information. For new prospects, run reports in Zoom Info, Zywave, and other resources to qualify accounts based on Graham Company criteria and add to Salesforce. 
  • LinkedIn Research: Research and identify key decision-makers within prospective clients (CEOs, CFOs, Risk Managers, etc.) to find common connections within the Sales Executives’ network(s). Input information into Salesforce CRM and/or spreadsheets. 
  • HubSpot Utilization: The Sales Intern will be responsible for setting up sequences and adopting template emails.  
  • Reporting:  Create reports for the Sales Team, capturing new prospects added, outstanding tasks for top prospects, and other pipeline activity. 
  • Event Coordination:  The Sales Intern will proactively seek out upcoming events to support prospecting efforts.  The Sales Intern will also assist with preparation for conferences and events by reviewing attendee list prior to identify key contacts.  
  • Attend meetings related to your position. 
  • Assist with other projects as assigned. 

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS 

  • The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior in college studying Business, Risk Management, or a related major with the desire to pursue a career in Sales. 
  • A high school diploma required. 
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite. 
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems to research and find information. 
  • Interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication. 
  • Must possess a high level of motivation and excellent attention to detail. 
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Above average spelling and grammar skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • High level of organizational ability and ability to multi-task. 
  • Professional demeanor. 
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently. 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines. 
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical skills. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance. 
  • Proficient in Graham standard computer applications. 
  • Employees are required to be fit-for-duty which includes not being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol This includes any drugs that might impact an employee’s ability to safely perform their job. 

The applicable hourly rate for this role is $25.
