About the Role

Description:

As a Legal Intern, you will support our in-house legal team by conducting legal research, analyzing complex legal issues, and assisting with litigation and intellectual property matters. You will work closely with the Associate General Counsel and General Counsel to develop practical legal skills while contributing to meaningful projects that impact the company.

Our internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8 AM-5 PM. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the workday. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. By applying to this position, your application will be considered for the Legal Intern role located in the Calabasas, California Office.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research on discrete issues using Bloomberg Law and other resources, and prepare clear, concise legal memoranda
  • Assist with litigation support, including reviewing documents and transcripts in discovery and providing summaries and analysis
  • Review and analyze the company's intellectual-property portfolio to identify gaps in coverage and provide strategic recommendations for expansion
  • Support intellectual-property initiatives and trademark management processes
  • Collaborate with the legal team on various projects and legal matters as they arise
  • Participate in meetings and build relationships with other interns across departments

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school with strong grades. Ideal candidates are rising 2L students. Exceptional undergraduate students considering law school may also be considered.
  • Able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the course of a 10 to 12-week summer internship between May through September 2026.
  • Proficient in legal research methodologies and platforms.
  • Strong legal writing skills with the ability to produce clear, well-organized memoranda. Must submit a short (2-5 page) writing sample with application.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $20.00 to $26.00 an hour.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed primarily in a n office environment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Position requires regular, continuous use of a computer.
  • Position requires regular sitting and standing and walking.
  • Position requires regular interaction with team members through in-person meetings, phone calls, video conferencing, or email.
  • This is a hybrid position. Candidates are expected in the office M, T & Th with optional work from home days Wednesday & Friday
