About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join an international, fast-growing company and jump start your professional career. The intern will undergo training to work in our Houston newsroom and will report and write news and analysis stories regarding spot commodity markets. There also may be opportunities to participate in special projects or events. </span></p><div><p style="text-align:left;"><span><strong>What we’re looking for in you: </strong> </span></p></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Understands the concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and other aspects. </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>Commitment to continuous learning and ability to demonstrate structured problem solving and analytical skills. </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>Strong coordination and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team. </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>Excellent oral, written and communications skills; very detail oriented. </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>The ability and willingness to rotate through several coverage areas. </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>High-energy, positive, problem solving, self-starter, results-oriented, proactive individual with a high sense of urgency and team player. </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>Individuals who are pursuing the degrees in Journalism, Communications, English, Business and Economics or related fields.</span></p></li></ul><p style="text-align:left;"><span><strong>Education and Experience</strong> </span></p></div><div><p style="text-align:justify;"><span>Currently enrolled in an accredited University program with at least 30 credit hours completed in areas such as Communications, Journalism, English, Business, Economics, Liberal Arts programs or in a similar field. </span></p></div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>Fluent written and spoken English </span></p></li></ul></div><div><div><ul><li><p style="text-align:left;"><span>Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel and Word) – HTML. </span></p></li></ul></div></div>
