Job Description

RRD is seeking an motivated and energetic individual to join our team this Summer in Warrenville, IL! 

**THIS POSITION IS HYBRID**

 

Position Objective: 

Support the Healthcare Workflow Solutions (HWS) team in designing, documenting, developing, and testing business applications and middleware that helps support the day-to-day business operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for users of the HWS workflow platform. Analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective actions. Follow up on problem resolution and inform users of status.
  • Design and develop software within the guidelines set by fellow team members and team leads.
  • Ensure that all software is formally tested in a background test environment before being deployed in the “Live” environment. All software is to be cataloged in the appropriate source control repository.
  • Contribute to the IT Knowledge Base by supplying written documentation related to the deployment and use of newly developed applications. This documentation may include installation and user manuals.
  • Participate in IT team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
  • Provide support to other employees and fill in as requested by management.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement of this job.

 

    Qualifications

    • The intern candidate should be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field.
    • Applicant must have personal experience or related coursework in the use of object oriented languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
    • Additional experience or related coursework in technologies used for web development such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML would be considered a plus.
    • Familiarity with common data formats such as json & xml would be considered a plus.
    • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and Google products.
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
    • Good interpersonal and team skills.
    • Positive attitude and outstanding customer service orientation.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work and solve problems independently.

    Additional Information

    The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $24.00 / hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
