Systems Engineering Interns work in multi-disciplinary team environment performing systems engineering tasks on weapons systems development programs.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;"><strong>Specific responsibilities associated with this position will include one or more of the following:</strong></span></span><ul><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Collaborate with other program engineers to create, maintain, and modify system models and databases</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Support trade studies to drive balanced design solutions and select from component alternatives</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Determine where opportunities exist to improve the system design and recommend changes to the design based on analysis performed</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Support technical specification development, at component, subsystem, and system levels, by analyzing and interpreting product performance specifications to ensure appropriate requirement flow down, allocation, and traceability</span></span></li></ul></br></br><b>Required Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><ul><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program pursing a degree in Systems Engineering or other closely related field of study (i.e. Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering) <strong>NON-IT RELATED</strong></span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environment</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Systems thinking skills (i.e., ability to work at detailed level but understand system level implications)</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Excellent oral and written communication skills</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Ability to write technical reports and presentations</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel</span></span></li></ul></br></br><b>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><ul><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Completed junior year of Bachelor’s Degree program at the time of the summer internship</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, or other closely related field of study</span></span></li><li><strong><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Detailed cover letter is a plus</span></span></strong></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Demonstrated leadership experience in multi-disciplinary team environment</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Previous internship with defense or automotive industry</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Experience with military vehicle or weapons systems is preferred</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Model based systems engineering experience, such as UML, SysML, Rational Harmony, Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM)</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Database experience such as DOORS, Microsoft Access</span></span></li></ul><br><br><b>Pay Information</b><br>Full-Time Salary Range: $49592 - $68993<br><br>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.<br><br>Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
