Naik Consulting Group is currently seeking a Summer Intern for 2026 (10-12 weeks). Naik is a New York-New Jersey engineering services firm which specializes in engineering design, field inspection, and Project Management/Construction Management, primarily in the transportation infrastructure industry.

Internship Overview

Our Summer Internship Program provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience in the engineering and professional services fields. Interns will contribute to active projects, receive mentorship from senior staff, and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of the fastest growing infrastructure firm in the region





Responsibilities

We are seeking motivated interns interested in one of the following tracks:
  • Design Engineering (MEP & Vertical Transportation): Work alongside licensed engineers to support the design of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and vertical transportation. Interns will assist with drawings, calculations, and technical reports, gaining exposure to industry-standard design tools and workflows.
  • Construction Management & Field Inspection: Join our field teams on active construction projects across New York City. Interns will help monitor project progress, perform site inspections, review contractor submittals, and support documentation and reporting. This track offers valuable hands-on exposure to how large-scale infrastructure and building projects are delivered in real time.
  • Business Operations & Analytics: Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to drive efficiency, growth, and strategic initiatives. Interns will assist with financial analysis, business process reviews, market research, and data-driven decision-making. This track provides insight into the business side of a growing consulting firm.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field), Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or Data/Analytics
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Interest in pursuing a career in engineering, construction management, or consulting services
  • Prior internship or project experience is a plus, but not required
