About the Role

Mason Hayes & Curran Early Talent Programme 2026


MHC is delighted to announce our inaugural Early Talent Programme, taking place in March and September 2026.


Open to second-year undergraduates, this programme is an opportunity to experience life in a large commercial law firm, gain real-world legal experience, and connect with MHC trainees, solicitors and partners.


What does the programme involve?


Running over two days across two intakes (one in March and one in September), participants will:

  • Gain an insight into life in one of Ireland’s largest law firms;

  • Shadow MHC trainees in departments including Data & Technology, Financial Services, Corporate, and Real Estate;

  • Hear from our Early Careers Lead on applying for internships, securing traineeships, and careers in law;

  • Participate in an immersive workshop with our knowledge lawyers; and

  • Join an exclusive evening networking event with MHC partners and solicitors.

Who can apply?


We accept applications from anyone who is currently in their second year of an undergraduate degree (law or non-law).


What’s involved in the application process?


The application itself is very straightforward – it is just a CV and a cover letter.


Your CV should be a maximum of one page, and your cover letter should not exceed 500 words.


Participants will be chosen based on application alone, so please take your time and ensure it is the best reflection of you and your achievements to date.

  • Applications open: Thursday 5 February 2026

  • Applications close: Sunday 22 February 2026

  • March intake: Monday 23 March and Tuesday 24 March

  • September intake: Monday 7 September and Tuesday 8 September

You will be asked to choose your preferred intake during the application process. We will do our best to accommodate preferences where possible.
