The Powertrain Advanced, Planning &System (PT APS) team research about future technologies that will be applied on the automotive market in a long term while applying and developing novel methodologies in the current projects (MDB, AI, SIL, HIL, MBSE…).

Your project

  • As part of the methodology development team, you will gain knowledge on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) including BEV powertrain (sub) systems simulation. You will actively contribute to the development and process automation of a Powertrain HIL testing laboratory; while learning about different BEV commodities and systems (wall box, on-board charger, ECUs, Inverters…)
  • Some of the current powertrain projects are related to bi-directional charging (Vehicle to Grid: V2G) and the functional evaluation of a micromobility BEV project.

Practical expectations:

  • Get up to speed with AC-V2G system testing requirements & test environment
  • Understand the V2G communication protocols and HIL model’s real-time behaviour.
  • Get hands-on experience on our HIL test bench and enhance the capabilities of the laboratory Graphical User Interface (GUI).
  • Automating the test campaign and testing process improvement (Kaizen).
  • Contribute on the results analysis and data pipeline automation.
  • Develop and improve a HIL application for a micro mobility BEV powertrain.
  • Understand the powertrain architecture and PT commodities specifications (datasheets, technical drawings. reports).
  • Creation/manipulation/debugging of Simulink models, and deployment and compilation in a real-time simulator.
  • Support system evaluation on the HILS bench for functional testing, assisting the bench operator team while proposing improvements.
  • Your Profile

      • You are fluent in English, able to summarize and explain complex technical Information in a clear and visual way. Any other EU language would be a plus
      • Master in Electric/ (Power) Electronics/ Mechatronics engineering with a strong affinity to the Automotive and Electricity markets.
