About the Role

Clariant's Business Unit Care Chemicals includes Crop Solutions, which develops innovative solutions for crop protection and agriculture. The 400 sqm greenhouse at the Clariant Innovation Center in Frankfurt-Höchst enables real-life testing of new products for crop protection and yield enhancement under controlled environmental conditions.


To strengthen our team, we are looking for an intern or working student (m/f/d) at our greenhouse at the Clariant Innovation Center in Frankfurt-Höchst.

 


Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of innovative solutions for improving plant health and address current environmental challenges that growers face during the crop production.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

 

  • Implement new methodologies for research and development of innovative ingredients and formulations for plant health products
  • Plan, organize, and execute experiments in research plots for crop health, and perform scientific data entry and results presentation
  • Support and perform under supervision in all functions of the greenhouses and growth chambers, which include planting, cultivating, pollinating, pollen collection, harvesting, irrigation/fertigation, etc.
  • Assist in other projects and product characterization studies as required or assigned by participating in data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing research

 

Demonstrate leadership in workplace safety by championing protocols and best practices, while applying scientific rigor to risk assessment and contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory and field safety standards.


 

Requirements

  • MSc degree in agronomy, agricultural science, or a comparable qualification
  • Strong understanding of plant physiology, biochemistry under abiotic stress with knowledge in crop nutrition and plant health
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to work independently
