The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is in partnership with Costco and is proud to present the 2026 Costco I.T Summer Internship to outstanding students attending a Historically Black College or University. The Costco I.T Division is inviting students currently enrolled in undergraduate university to participate in a 10-12-week paid internship program during Summer 2026 in Issaquah, Washington. The program offers further exposure to Costco’s culture, business practices, networking, and leadership. The I.T internship positions are open to current college students, recent graduates, with experience in the following departments: RTV, Expense, Sales Audit, Payroll, Vault, and Inventory Audit.  Selected interns will have the ability to network and collaborate with Costco’s management team, permanent staff, and each other through weekly intern-focused activities


Responsibilities

Job Duties/Essential Functions

  • Performs software development to support the implementation of a product/application.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify solutions that support their business requirements.
  • Works independently and within a team environment.
  • Pays attention to detail, self motivated with the ability to follow instructions and completes assignments on time.
  • Learns and applies new concepts, processes, and tools.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems and multi-tasks by prioritizing projects and deadlines.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, stakeholders, and all levels of management.
  • Adopts engineering best practices to deliver higher quality and scalable solutions.
  • Conducts peer code reviews for the software changes made by other engineers within a team
  • Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

 

  • Cover Letter is Required
  • Studnet Must Attend a TMCF Member School
  • Majors must be Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering,Web Development, Software Engineering, & Data Analytics 
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or Higher
  • Application development in any of the following Java, JavaScript, .Net, C#, Power Apps, and Azure.
  • Experience in performing full stack Web, UI or mobile application development.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.
  • Cloud experience in AWS or GCP
  • Deadline oriented and capable of self-management.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, and stay well organized.
