What are your contributions to the team?

‐ Support new concept developments by ensuring their technical feasibility and their potential compliance or challenges with certification

‐ Create and validate cabin user scenarios using emerging technologies

‐ Prototype and validate cabin architecture proposals

‐ Be comfortable in a workshop environment fabricating physical mockups

‐ Monitor emerging technology and applications in aerospace and consumer tech

‐ Support collaborations with universities and government organizations

‐ Write technical reports summarizing the scope of a project and lessons learned for future reference

‐ Integrate and collaborate with multi‐disciplinary teams, including Industrial Design, Interior Design, Engineering, Production, Advanced Design, Product Development, Marketing, Customer‐Facing teams and Customers, Universities and Academia

-From research, to conceptual and technical development, through user testing and validation, into detailed engineering and qualification, create and bring products to production

How to thrive in this role?

As our ideal candidate, you are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree Industrial Design, Interaction Design or any other relevant academic background with substantial experience

‐ Present a portfolio of recent projects

‐ You are familiar with ideation and presentation tools such as hand Sketching, Adobe suite, Microsoft office and/or equivalent

‐ You have a good knowledge of basic mockup techniques, such as foam core

- You are familiar with CAD software, such as Rhinoceros, Alias or Catia

‐ You have good oral and technical writing skills, in English and French (required)

‐ You are motivated, self‐starter, organized, autonomous and able to work under limited supervision

‐ You can work along with other creative minds, in an R&D environment

‐ You balance the open‐mindedness of exploration with discipline to deliver results on time

‐ You are a team player and are able to work with suppliers and customers

‐ You are a dynamic person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good judgment

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
