Students commit to <strong>15–20 hours per week</strong> for a <strong>9–12 month placement</strong>, allowing for meaningful immersion in clinical practice and continuity of care.</p> <p>As scheduling permits, students engage in <strong>bi‑weekly group supervision</strong> and <strong>weekly medication‑provider staffing</strong>, gaining exposure to interdisciplinary collaboration and case‑based learning.</p> <p>All clinical work is <strong>supervised by the Program Manager of Wellshire Behavioral Services</strong>, a <strong>Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)</strong> and <strong>Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC)</strong>, ensuring high‑quality guidance, professional development, and adherence to ethical standards.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Team Specific Information</strong>: Wellshire is an outpatient clinic that provides individual, couples, and group therapy and medication management for adults, 18 and older.&nbsp;&nbsp; Wellshire works with individual who have Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance. Clinical interns will primarily serve individuals with Medicaid.&nbsp; Individuals served at Wellshire also have access to other resources and services within Wellpower.</p> <p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits:</strong></p> <p>This is a <strong>NON-PAID</strong> student intern opportunity</p> <p><strong>Duties &amp; Functions:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Intern will learn and use Evidence Based Practices (EBP) such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.</li> <li>Intern will use these and other treatment models when providing therapy for individuals who experience depression, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, anxiety, bipolar disorder, childhood and adult trauma, PTSD, substance abuse, personality disorders, and other mental health challenges.</li> <li>Intern will also learn how to provide these services from a strengths-based recovery perspective, as well as work in an organization that values the well-being of employees.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>For the Summer/Fall 2026 semester, an applicant must be in their 2<sup>nd</sup> year in their master’s level counseling or social work program.
