About the Role

About City Greens

City Greens is a fast-growing AgriTech startup building automation and AI-driven solutions for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). Our platforms combine software, IoT, and AI to help modern farms, institutions, and agri-enterprises improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.

As part of our technology roadmap, we are developing internal and customer-facing web applications that power our solutions and operations.


Role Overview

We are looking for motivated and committed Web Application Development Interns to join our onsite development team.

This internship is designed for individuals who want real-world experience in building production-grade web applications. Interns will work on live projects, contributing to frontend and backend development while learning best practices in software development.


What You Will Do

  • Develop and enhance features for a real-time web application

  • Work on frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

  • Assist in backend development using Node.js and Express.js

  • Integrate REST APIs and databases into the application

  • Debug issues and help optimise application performance

  • Collaborate closely with the team and share regular progress updates




Requirements


Who This Role Is For

  • Engineering students (CSE / IT / ECE or related branches)

  • Fresh graduates aiming to build a career in web development

  • Self-learners with hands-on experience through personal or academic projects

  • Individuals who are eager to learn, take ownership, and work on real products


Key Skills & Traits

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Familiarity with React.js (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Basic understanding of Node.js and Express.js

  • Working knowledge of Git and GitHub

  • Strong learning mindset and problem-solving attitude

  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks


Good to Have

  • Database knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred)

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs

  • Experience with mini-projects, academic projects, or personal applications

This role begins as a 3-month onsite, unpaid internship, focused on learning, contribution, and performance.


Successful interns may be offered a full-time role with:

  • Starting salary: ₹25,000 per month
