About the Role

Description

BBI is looking for hard working, critical thinker, and passionate student looking to gain hands on experience in software development within a real-world environment. As a Software Engineering Intern at BBI, you will develop proficiency in programming languages, process and contribute meaningful work to BBI’s projects through feature and application development. The summer internship program is crafted to elevate your analytical skill set while also gaining industry knowledge. If you are a proactive, problem-solving student your search ends here. What you’ll be doing. 

  • Engage in training sessions on programming languages, frameworks, and technologies used in BBI's projects (React, Next.js, TypeScript, C#, and Python). 
  • Study documentation and resources to gain a deep understanding of the tech stack. 
  • Learn to develop code for readability, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards. 
  • Participate in daily scrum, sprint planning, and sprint review meetings. 
  • Work on individual and/or small group projects designing and developing simple applications, tools, and/ or utilities. 
  • Implement features, with the assistance from senior developers, into BBI’s existing software. 
  • Review code submitted by peers and provide constructive feedback.   
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, DevSecOps, QA, etc.) to deliver comprehensive solutions. 
  • Present features and applications to senior leadership. 

Requirements

*Must be able to work on site in Columbus, Ohio.

What you’ll bring to the table. 

  • Junior and Senior undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • Capable of completing the 11-week program completely on site at our Columbus office 
  • Able to work in office as this internship does not offer remote opportunities 
  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
