Job Purpose:


The IT Department at Lucas Oil is seeking a driven and resourceful Intern to gain practical, hands-on experience supporting the technology that drives our business. This role is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges and contribute directly to the team responsible for our company's entire technology infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful tasks and projects, developing skills essential for a successful career in IT.


Duties:

  • Provide Technical Support: Act as a key point of contact for our employees, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Deploy and Maintain Hardware: Configure, install, and maintain new workstations, laptops, and peripherals to ensure our team has the tools they need.
  • Monitor System Health: Assist in monitoring our network and server infrastructure, helping to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Support Software Applications: Assist with the installation, configuration, and management of various software applications used across the organization.
  • Assist Remote Staff: Utilize remote management tools to provide efficient technical support to our off-site employees.
  • Contribute to IT Projects: Participate in departmental projects, from system upgrades to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.

Physical Requirements

  • This is an active role that requires moving throughout the office and facilities. You may be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and transport IT equipment, such as computers and monitors, weighing up to 40 lbs.
