We are a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP); building automation; and industrial piping contractor. Our team offers a variety of MEP and process piping services, including design-build engineering for new construction and renovation, installation and specialty construction, maintenance, and air balancing, start-up, and energy efficiency services.

Job Summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op position in our Cincinnati, Ohio location. The Mechanical Engineer Co-Op position offers a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical experience in the Mechanical Engineering field. The Mechanical Engineer Co-Op will work with Mechanical Engineers to provide knowledge and consultation developing HVAC system solutions for the customers’ problems, including financial and performance-based solutions. The projects will be wide ranged; including but not limited to: HVAC piping, Industrial piping, Plumbing, Sheetmetal, and Equipment replacements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attending company meetings to discuss work in progress, corporate issues, budget plans, business plans, andmarketing plans on agreed-upon schedules.
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers with engineering retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects 
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers to determine client needs and develop an engineered solution.
  • Follow up with project managers on the status of engineered work.
  • Assist Service Technicians with job site problems.
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers by relaying prospective solutions to clients.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site and be an approved driver per company Fleet and Driver policy.

 

TRAVEL

  • This position may require up to 50% local travel to meet customers, attend meetings, etc.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products
