About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will help design solutions for a greener future through innovative energy technologies while also learning from some of the best engineering leaders in the business. 

 

Developmental Work Assignments:

  • Creating SolidWorks models and drawings per the bill of materials.
  • Assisting with and monitoring of prototype valve testing.
  • Assisting with design and validation of new pressure control module. 
  • Assisting with concept validation testing for low viscosity measurement. 
  • Assisting with the Research and Development (R&D) Lab reorganization.
  • Contributing to the creation of documentation packages for custom projects, as needed.
  • Updating Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) tracking.
  • Assisting with repair of in-house R&D laboratory instruments.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications: ​ 

  • Must be currently pursuing degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or similar. 
  • Ability to work 40 hour work weeks from Mid-May to Mid-August.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25lbs.
  • Exposure to or experience with 3D CAD.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • Introductory Engineering Computer Programming
  • Engineering Statistics
  • Elementary Dynamics
  • Physics I and/or II with Calculus
  • Physics II with Calculus
  • Basic Electrical Measurements
  • Measurements and Instrumentation, preferred.
