Position Overview

As an Asset Management Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to how we manage the financial and operational performance of a diverse real estate portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Asset Management Team to analyze market trends, support portfolio reporting, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive value across Core’s student housing and BTR assets. This role offers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of real estate operations, investment performance, and cross-functional collaboration within a vertically integrated real estate platform.


What You Will Do

  • Assist with preparing portfolio performance summaries that support effective decision-making across the Asset Management Team
  • Support the review of leasing performance, market trends, and rental rate recommendations
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting preparation, including compiling historical data and drafting initial analyses
  • Help create and maintain internal dashboards and recurring reports for senior leadership and investment partners
  • Assist in consolidating market research and distributing insights to internal teams
  • Support coordination with Operations, Property Accounting, and other cross-functional partners to meet reporting timelines
  • Shadow negotiations and review processes related to retail leases and CAM reconciliations (as available)
  • Contribute to special projects that support asset strategy, operational efficiency, or performance optimization
  • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ideally, You'll Have

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general data analysis tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • An interest in commercial real estate, financial analysis, or investment management

 

You'll crush it if you have experience with

 

  • Real estate, private equity, or financial analysis
  • Financial modeling or advanced Excel skills
  • Market research and report writing
  • Familiarity with real estate metrics, valuation methods, or industry software

Pay Range

USD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Yr.
Compensation Disclosure

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, seniority, geographic location, and business needs.

This role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, including bonuses, commissions, stipends, or non-cash incentives, depending on position and performance. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other role-based offerings, subject to eligibility requirements.
