You will also have access to additional benefits such as, networking with BAE Systems employees and other students, participating in exciting real world projects, joining exclusive informational sessions with senior leaders, and expanding mentorship opportunities and career development.<br><br>BAE Systems is one of the world's largest defense contractors and Fortune 500 Company, this intern will be working full time onsite at our Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, VA or our Holston Plant in Kingsport, TN for Relocation will be offered, and housing is not provided. <br> <br><strong>As a Subcontracts Administrator Intern:</strong></span></span><ul><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Assist Subcontract Administrators with day-to-day subcontract administration activities across the subcontract lifecycle, including pre-award and post-award support. </span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Support preparation and issuance of subcontract documentation, including RFQs/RFPs, bid packages, and required compliance forms.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Assist with subcontract file maintenance, data entry, and document control to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Support subcontract closeout activities, including invoice verification, receipt of required closeout documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Perform basic market research and supplier data analysis in support of sourcing and subcontracting activities.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Assist with tracking deliverables, subcontract modifications, and administrative actions under supervision.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Help resolve invoicing, payment status, and delivery-related administrative issues by coordinating with internal teams.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;">Support continuous process improvement initiatives related to subcontract administration and compliance.</span></span></li></ul></br></br><b>Required Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="color:black"> • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Contract Management, Engineering, or a related field.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and manage documentation accurately.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Willingness to learn and adapt in a structured, highly regulated environment.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Strong written and verbal communication skills.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and professionalism.</span></span></span><br></br></br><b>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills </b></br><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma,Geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="color:black"> • Completion of two (2) or more years of college coursework in a relevant discipline.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Prior internship, coursework, or exposure related to government contracting, procurement, supply chain, or business operations.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Familiarity with basic contract or subcontract concepts.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • General awareness of FAR/DFARS or interest in learning federal acquisition regulations.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Experience with data analysis, reporting, or process documentation.</span><br><span style="color:black"> • Strong organizational, time-management, and presentation skills.</span></span></span><br><br><br><b>Pay Information</b><br>Full-Time Salary Range: $36593 - $49357<br><br>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.<br><br>Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
