From day one, you’ll gain real experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. With full training and support, you’ll learn how to:

 

  • Install, assemble and dismantle mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Maintain and repair machinery to keep our plant running safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot faults and find practical solutions
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
  • Work with cutting‑edge equipment in a live production environment
  • Develop a continuous improvement mindset – always finding better ways to work

No two days are the same, and you’ll finish the programme with skills that set you up for a long and successful engineering career.

You don’t need experience — just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

We’re looking for students who:

 

  • Enjoy practical, hands‑on work
  • Can follow instructions and work safely
  • Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Are comfortable using computers and technology
  • Work well in a team and communicate clearly
  • Are motivated, curious, and ready to take on new challenges
