About the Role

The Procurement Data Analyst Co-op is a temporary, full-time role designed for students or early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in procurement analytics. The successful candidate will support the Indirect Procurement team by analyzing spend and inventory data, identifying materials standardization, consolidation and cost-saving opportunities, and assisting with reporting and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals with strong data analysis skills, attention to detail, and an interest in global supply chain management and procurement operations.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·       Collect, clean, and analyze procurement data related to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials including equipment spare parts

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the world to gather requirements, validate data, and ensure accurate reporting.

·       Contribute to ongoing process improvement projects, including automation and standardization of reporting tools.

·       Maintain data integrity and confidentiality in all analytics and reporting activities.

·       Support sourcing initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.

·       Reads, understands and is committed to conducting business in accordance to Albany International’s Business Ethics Policy.  All business of the company should, at all times, be conducted ethically, fairly, honestly and with integrity.   

·       Help prepare presentations and summaries for management, highlighting findings and actionable recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:

·       Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas); experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an asset

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·       Experience with data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis techniques.

·       Familiarity with procurement processes and indirect spend categories is a plus.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

·       Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
