This summer internship at Harmony offers a unique perspective into a rare-disease-focused biotech company. Our internship program will provide you with the opportunity to work on real-world projects, as well as network with people at Harmony through various events and activities.

Summary of Position: 

This position will support the Market Access team, with a focus on Trade & Distribution and Patient Services. This role offers hands-on exposure to how specialty pharmaceuticals are distributed, reimbursed, and supported – providing a unique opportunity to learn how commercial strategy directly impacts patient access and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Trade and Patient Services initiatives focused on improving patient onboarding, access, and ongoing therapy management.
  • Assist with the analysis of specialty pharmacy performance metrics (e.g., referral volume, conversion, time-to-fill, adherence)
  • Help analyze patient access trends and identify opportunities to improve patient experience.
  • Support coordination between Patient Services and Trade teams to ensure alignment on access strategies.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How specialty distribution, HUB support models, and payer dynamics interact to drive time-to-therapy and patient adherence in rare disease.
  • How to translate operational data into insights and recommendations that improve access and patient experience across Trade and Patient Services
  • Insight into commercial strategy, reimbursement dynamics, and patient-centered care.

There will also be other projects and initiatives within the team that may require support. These assignments are typically unplanned and based on skill set.

Candidate Requirements: Candidate must be flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively with ambiguity and incomplete information. Prior work experience required. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation). Proficiency in Excel is required.

Requirements:  

  • Minimum age for all candidates must be at least 18 years or older. 
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a degree in Pharmacy.  
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including flexibility, collaboration, and inclusion skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision.
  • Manual dexterity requires computers, tablets, and cell phone.
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.
