The Role

The Learning & Development Event Planning Intern will play a vital role in executing the firm’s national training programs at the firm’s training center in St. Charles during its primary training season.  The Intern’s primary responsibilities include onsite facilitation of events, and preparation for future training programs.  The Intern will report to the Learning & Development Event Team Managers, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of other team members. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Support daily training operations, including meeting room setup, technology setup, refreshing classroom materials and instructor needs
  • Provide in classroom support during training sessions, including attendance reminders, event app support, and assistance with technology issues
  • Monitor attendance using our technology platform and maintain attendee lists and related reports in Excel
  • Communicate event announcements and instructions to participants
  • Build and maintain event app for national training programs, including attendee and speaker rosters, agenda items, and other essential program details
  • Assist with the preparation of materials for upcoming programs and the end-of-week program breakdown
  • Create meetings and webinars in Microsoft Teams or Zoom platforms
  • Consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources using Excel functions
  • Update PowerPoint presentations to ensure formatting consistency and alignment with firm standards
  • Create evaluations in SurveyMonkey and summarize survey results
  • Assist with special projects as needed

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact and work with professionals of all levels across the firm
  • Ability to commute to Q Center Conference Center in St. Charles, IL

Compensation and Benefits

For individuals hired to work in St. Charles, IL, the expected hourly rate for this role is $27.00 to $42.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
