The Milken Institute’s events and programmatic activities, involve the exchange of ideas with leaders from around the world. The Institute hosts more than 200 events each year, with our annual flagship event, Global Conference, bringing together 4,500+ participants from around the world, featuring more than 900+ speakers throughout 200+ sessions over the course of the event.
About the Milken Institute’s Singapore Internship Program
The Milken Institute’s Singapore Internship Program aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the issues that shape the global agenda as they enter the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, or philanthropic sectors. We create a customized experience for each intern, which is tailored to their interest area and career trajectory as well as emphasizes their professional and personal development. This experience includes opportunities to:
- Interact with high-level business leaders, government representatives, investors, and academic experts
- Meet and work with the Milken Institute’s global network of senior executives
- Learn from senior leaders at the Milken Institute
- Gain insights into the workings of global financial markets through dedicated workshops
- Network with an international and diverse group of peers and professionals
Responsibilities
The Asia Center is looking for an intern to support the team in building up our events, programs, and stakeholder outreach and engagement. The ideal candidate will be able to accomplish the following responsibilities:
- Identify key executives as potential speakers from various industries and sectors (finance, technology, health care, government, philanthropy, food and ag, etc) and be able to do outreach and engagement with their office via emails and phone calls
- Perform economic, financial, and industry research on the macro trends shaping industries and markets around the world and write short summaries to be used to frame and guide our roundtables, webinars, and events
- Track, organize, and update key program and event documents and collaterals and support the team stay on track with program planning and development
- Pull content from past events and programs for social media posts and come up with ideas on how to boost social media impressions and visibility online
- Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Detailed-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, and be fluent in written and spoken English
- Highly organized and exceptional attention to accuracy
- Exhibits research, analytical, and communication skills
- Proactive self-manager of responsibilities and be able to learn on the job
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate is preferred
- Past experience organizing conferences, events, roundtables, etc. is preferred
Internship Duration
We offer 4 to 12-month internships with flexibility on the dates. We have a strong preference for interns who can stay through the completion of the Asia Summit, until at least 9th October 2026. In the event of health restrictions, we expect interns to be able to work fully remotely as needed and join team meetings and other calls virtually.

We are interested in qualified candidates who are eligible to work in Singapore. Please note, we are not sponsoring employment passes or work visas at this time—being authorized to work in Singapore is a precondition of employment. This includes Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) and individuals who already hold a valid and independent work pass that does not require sponsorship from our company.
This position will work a hybrid schedule consisting of three (3) days per week reporting in-person to your respective office location (Tuesday – Thursday), with the remaining two (2) days working remotely. This schedule is subject to change in the Institute’s sole discretion.
