This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.</p> <p>This internship will support the Systems Engineering department with projects involving space camera design and/or the Sun Sensor product line.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for requirement review, decomposition, and derivation</li> <li>Assist with risk analysis and&nbsp;interface definition including mechanical, electrical, and software</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and other internal teams including business development and project management</li> <li>Participate in test methodologies and procedures</li> <li>Support system integration activities</li> <li>Contribute ideas for process improvement and operational efficiency</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Engineering or Physics, preferably with focus on Electrical or Optical engineering</li> <li>Broad understanding of engineering principles</li> <li>Proficient with a subset of engineering design software, such as 3D CAD modeling (Solidworks), electrical design (Altium), requirements management (JAMA), software coding (Python, C#, Matlab, etc.)</li> <li>Hands-on lab experience and proficiency with engineering test equipment</li> <li>Strong communication and critical thinking skills, problem-solving and analytical abilities</li> <li>Excellent time management and organization skills</li> <li>Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion</li> </ul> <p>*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Application Deadline: March 13, 2026</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Please click “Apply” to submit your application.</p> <p>To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.</p> <p>Voyager is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
