<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking highly motivated emerging talent to participate in a <strong>10-week immersive internship program </strong>from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026. This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.</p>
<p>The Mechanical Engineering intern will support the lead mechanical engineer with required mechanical design tasks. This includes conducting trade studies, creating and reviewing mechanical drawings, and developing test and manufacturing fixturing.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in defining, decomposing, and tracking mechanical requirements to ensure the final product meets mission objectives</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and other teams as needed</li>
<li>Document mechanical interfaces and work with the system engineer to ensure all requirements are included</li>
<li>Help define verification methods and approaches for mechanical requirements</li>
<li>Help execute tests such as Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) or Vibration testing; review and present engineering data and artifacts that verify requirements have been met</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Systems, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design methodology</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team</li>
<li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li>
<li>Experience with mechanical design software (e.g. SolidWorks) preferred</li>
<li>Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion</li>
</ul>

<li>Previous internship, coursework, or project experience related to mechanical engineering</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Hourly Pay Range: $23.50-$30.00 per hour</strong></p>
<p>*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography</p>
