Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Learning and Development Intern to support our Learning and Development initiatives.  This internship offers hands-on experience in designing, coordinating and evaluating employee learning programs while gaining exposure to broader People and Culture functions such as talent management, engagement, and performance development.

This is an office-based position at our Morrisville, NC location.  The Learning and Development Intern will report to the Associate Director, Learning & Development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of training sessions, workshops and learning events

  • Support the administration and maintenance of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), including tracking attendance, completion rates and course evaluations

  • Support the administration of LinkedIn Learning and Hone training, including managing user access, tracking participation and compiling usage reports

  • Help develop learning materials such as presentations and resource guides

  • Conduct research on emerging L&D trends and recommend innovative learning solutions

  • Support employee onboarding and orientation activities as needed

  • Compile data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing People and Culture initiatives

  • Prepare and deliver an end-of-program presentation on a topic selected by you and your manager to a designated audience

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Education or related field

  • Must be at least a Junior level student at university at the time of your application

  • Strong interest in learning and development, talent management or organizational behavior

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, engaging and professional materials

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Creative thinker with curiosity and a positive, solution-based mindset

  • Available to work full-time during the summer months (May-August) in an AskBio office

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

  • Prior internship, work or volunteer/extracurricular experience in the Human Resources or Education field

  • Experience using AI in content creation and workflows

  • Experience with internal marketing and adoption of learning initiatives

  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Flexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for the People and Culture team
