Position Summary

Ranger Construction Corp. is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern to support our project managers and field teams during the upcoming construction season. This hands-on internship provides exposure to real-world civil engineering practices, heavy construction operations, and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with construction layout, surveying, and field measurements.
  • Support project engineers and supervisors with daily site inspections and documentation.
  • Aid in preparing drawings, plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in quantity tracking, material verification, and project progress reporting.
  • Assist with GPS equipment, CAD updates, and plan interpretation.
  • Help ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Perform general engineering and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in heavy civil construction, site work, and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, GPS technology, surveying equipment, or construction plans (preferred).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various field conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Coursework in soils, materials, transportation, hydraulics, or construction methods.
  • Experience with Civil 3D, Bluebeam, GIS, or construction management software.
  • Previous construction or engineering-related work experience.
