Your Key Responsibilities

As Intern – Production Technology – Automated Gauging Systems, you will become an expert in the Renishaw Equator automated gauging system as well as Zeiss coordinate measurement machines (CMM’s).  You will play a crucial role in our quality control and setup time reduction measures. Collaborating closely with engineering, production and quality control teams, you will develop and optimize CMM and Renishaw equator programs tailored to the capabilities of the Renishaw Equator system

- Analyze component drawings and machining programs to create measurement plans for each component.  Work with the CMM inspection team to create CMM programs for each component.

-Translate CMM master programs into Renishaw Modus language, divide out programs to match machining sequence, physically set up programs on the equator, optimize and prove out.

-Apply advanced metrology techniques supported by Renishaw Equator technology.

-Work with production to prove out new programs in real world production runs.

-Further develop system capabilities and troubleshoot issues.

-Implement error proofing techniques to limit scrap risk.

- Procure component masters.

- Document CMM programs, procedures, and inspection results specific to the Renishaw Equator system.

- Generate reports detailing progress towards program creation goals.

Your Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

- Familiarity with software development tools and practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
