Overview:

Marathon Pipe Line Company (MPL) - MPL operates pipeline systems that move crude oil from production fields, other pipeline companies, and offshore platforms to MPC refineries, other refineries, and other pipeline systems. MPL also operates pipeline systems that move refined products from refineries to product terminals.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the MPL Public Engagement intern may include:
- Participates in MPL's Process Performance and Planning process to drive continuous improvement through performance analysis, stakeholder feedback, and incident data review.
- Assists in the development and execution of risk-based focused stakeholder engagement plans for high-risk stakeholders and assists in executing existing plans for diverse groups.
- Executes and leads the Public Awareness Program according to API RP 1162 guidelines, including regulatory inspection support, and ensures alignment with API RP 1185 for public engagement.
- Maintains digital platforms such as the MPL website, social media accounts, and Pipeline Finder App.
- Compiles and submits documentation for all public engagement activities.
- Assists Area Operations with community involvement and engagement opportunities and manages Emergency Preparedness Programs for schools and public venues.
- Provides assistance with various public engagement events.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or other related disciplines.
- Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for the duration of the experience.
- Strong academic performance.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
- Job responsibilities may require travel; therefore, a valid driver's license is required.
- MIN - $20.19 per hour / MAX - $25.24 per hour
